Take Action Now

There are a number of valuable ways you can take action to further this cause. While we can’t list them all here, we believe this is a great starting point for anyone who wanted to get involved.

  1. Donate your time or money to established projects, such as:

  2. Become a member of an existing organization or activist group. There are people doing great work around the country and some might even be closer than you think:

  3. Support causes that seek to reshape the narrative and provide new opportunities to traditionally underrepresented communities:

    • Black Lives Matter - global organization building local power to intervene in violence inflicted on black communities by the state and vigilantes
    • Equal Justice Initiative - committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the US
    • National Bail Out - grassroots, community based movement reuniting families and resisting mass incarceration
    • Center for Policing Equity - research & action think tank that promotes police transparency, equity, and accountability
    • Black Girls Code - strives to empower young women of color to get into tech
    • Management Leadership for Tomorrow - professional development program for high achieving women and men from underrepresented communities
    • A Better Chance - A Better Chance stands for education, access and opportunity. For 57 years, A Better Chance has been creating the leaders of color our world requires.
    • NAACP : advocacy for civil rights, grassroots campaigns for equal opportunity, and voter mobilization

Mission

The killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Atatiana Jefferson, Eric Garner and countless others have opened the eyes of our nation. In the wake of these tragedies, a movement was born in streets across the nation. Citizens from every background stood hand-in-hand to let their voices be heard, crying out: “Enough is enough. It’s time for a change!”

As governments begin to enact long-needed change, our goal is to offer a simple and dynamic way to track these statewide police reforms. We want to empower people with knowledge and provide the tools to participate in constructive conversations with others. From kitchen tables to boardrooms, we know the only true way to change minds is with powerful, real time information.

Together, we can erase hatred and create a country that stands for all of us.
